The King is Coming

Christmas Poem by Sherry Jarvis 12/18/20

We know it all began,

When God became a man.

A night when the stary host,

Of the only Son, they did boast.

Hallelujah, Angels sing,

Salvation He will bring.

Good will to all mankind,

Joy, and peace of mind.

Just knock, He’ll open the door,

To freedom more and more.

There's no room for any shame,

On the cross He took all the blame.

Now we're made Holy, pure, and right,

We have all His power and might.

It’s a story that has to be told,

To both those young and old.

The days are getting short now,

So to our Lord and King we bow.

In your life, for Him make room,

Because He’s coming back soon.

We’ll see Him come in a cloud,

To gather up a great crowd.

This is the truth, not a lie,

It will happen in the twinkling of an eye.

So fill your lamp with oil, get ready,

Watch, be faithful, and steady.

The bride and groom will finally meet,

At the marriage feast you'll have a seat.

But this is not the end of the story,

We will reign with him forever in glory.
